This major was established for the urgent needs of public art and design talent in China’s urbanization process, and it is now the the National Feature Specialty and Jiangsu Province Key Construction Specialty. After nearly 20 years of development, its faculty and teaching facilities has become the forefront of the domestic majors of the same kind. Public art stresses on academic openness and innovation, emphasizes on the interoperability of technology and art, and attaches importance to the unity of career planning and social needs, which aims to develop composite art and design talent with open vision, integrated skills and the strong innovation capability. Students graduated from this major can go for Master and PhD in our school.
