This major was established in 1984, which is the educational majors for train middle-school art teachers, and is granted with masters degree program. It attaches importance on the traditional and the modern, the combination of theory and practice, as well as the focus on ability and creative thinking, aiming to develop high-quality compound talents with modern art professional knowledge and innovation capabilities who can be easily adapted in to art teaching and artistic creation. Teachers in this major stands for high professional level in western painting, Chinese painting, calligraphy, seal carving and synthetic art, and have made a number of notable artistic achievements in theoretical research, artistic creation, and personnel training. Students graduated from this major can go for Master and PhD in our school.
