Professor Shen received his PhD in Engineering from Southeast University and was jointly trained by Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of the Chinese Ergonomics Society and a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (AHFE). In recent years, Prof. Shen has published more than ten academic papers indexed by SSCI/SCI.

He has led a number of provincial and ministerial research projects, such as "Research on virtual-real Integration user interface design and ergonomics evaluation Method", "Research on Digital interface Design Method based on visual Information Cognition", "Research on Eye-movement interaction Strategy for patients with physical disabilities". He also participated in 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 1 National key research and development plan sub-projects as a leading research member.
