Associate professor at Jiangnan University in Wuxi (China) where is leading the Brand Future UX Design lab and teaching programs as Design management and Design Methodologies and Principles courses. Moreover, invited Professor at ESSCA Business School/Shanghai where is teaching Design Innovation for Luxury Market.

About previous academic positions:

From 2007 to 2017 Research fellow and then post-doc researcher at DIDA Department of University of Florence. Senior researcher within joint research Labs in between Academia and advanced craftsmanship SMES. Professor in Fashion Design and Product Design at undergraduate program in Design of University of Florence.

PhD in Industrial design, Environment and History, his professional profile is focusing on relationships between design strategies and advanced manufacturing processes.

Moreover, his research is focusing on product values communication through design driven innovation based on technology innovation and traceability.

Academic coordinator at Fashion Design department of IED-Istituto Europeo di Design in Florence from 2014 to 2018. From March 2018 to December 2019, Associate Researcher

at Nanjing University/School of Art, where Gabriele Goretti works as Professor of History of Western Design Course and Fashion Culture and Luxury. In addition, he was been

leading the Design lab at Maker Place of Nanjing University, focusing on design strategies inspired by Chinese Cultural Heritage.
